If you meet our Auto Approval Guidelines it means you will be approved for a merchant account regardless of the owner's personal credit history. The only exceptions are for merchants in a current bankruptcy that has not been discharged for a minimum of six months, for merchants on Visa/MC's CTMF File, and for merchant applications that have falsified or fictitious information.

If you do not meet the Auto-Approval Guidelines, you can still get approved! Your application will simply need to be supported by any one of the following:

Business type cannot be on our TMS prohibited list. Note, if your business is on our TMS prohibited list we can most likely put your business with one of our secondary banks.

A business checking account with the DBA [doing business as] name pre-printed on the checks. Required for all merchant accounts.

A functional website complete with product and/or service descriptions and pricing and refund policy, DBA and contact information. You should also own the domain name and the domain name owner and address information should match what will be put on the merchant application. If this is a problem, we can provide a domain name for you for only $25.

A social security number. Does not apply for Canadians.

If incorporated, i.e. INC. or LLC is tagged on the end of your company name, you will need to supply a copy of your articles of incorporation supplied by the state you were incorporated in and a federal tax number.

Partnerships are required to be licensed as such it their state and be able to provide a federal tax number.

Future Service Liability Less Than 30 Days [this means that the product is received by the customer or the service has been completed by the merchant within 30 days of charging the customer's credit card. If you have a future service liability greater than 30 days we can still approve you. Owner will need good credit history or we will need to put your business with a secondary bank. [We make an exception for Domain Name resellers.]
